Welcome to the 18C AI Platform (the “Platform”) owned and operated by 18C Partners (“18C,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) a California Limited Liability Company.
These Platform terms & conditions (“Platform Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform and related services offered by 18C (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, submitting information, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Platform Terms and our Privacy Policy (collectively, this “Agreement”).
If you do not agree to these Platform Terms, please do not access or use the Platform.
PURPOSE OF THE PLATFORM
The Platform is designed to connect professionals seeking new opportunities (“Users,” “you,” or “Candidates”) with companies seeking to fill roles (“Hiring Companies”). 18C facilitates introductions to Hiring Companies based on your suitability for the posted opportunities. We do not make employment decisions on behalf of either party.
ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in your country of residence to use the Platform. By using the Services, you represent that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and complete, and that you have not been suspended or removed from the Platform.
YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH 18C
While you are a User of the Platform and we help facilitate introductions and communications between you and the Hiring Companies, you are not a client of 18C nor is 18C your agent, representative, or legal advisor. Use of the Platform does not create an employment, agency, fiduciary, or partnership relationship between you and 18C. 18C does not charge Candidates any fees for using the Platform or for being considered for job opportunities.
Recruiting Agency. 18C is a recruiting agency that provides recruiting and placement services to the Hiring Companies and may receive a service fee or commission from them when a placement occurs. 18C’s primary relationship is with the Hiring Companies who engage 18C’s recruiting and platform services. While 18C strives to maintain a positive experience for Candidates, we do not owe any fiduciary or advisory duty to Candidates using the Platform.
Platform Use. The Platform is provided as a digital service to facilitate the submission of your information and to match you with potential employment opportunities. 18C does not represent you in connection with any hiring process, job application, negotiation, or employment decision. 18C represents the companies in their search for suitable candidates to fill their roles.
Disclaimer. Any communication, advice, or feedback provided by 18C or through the Platform is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal, employment, or career advice specific to you. Candidates are solely responsible for their own application materials, interview participation, negotiation, and employment decisions.
ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide current and accurate information during account registration; maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials; and notify 18C immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected breach.
You may create an account directly with your email address or by using an approved third-party service such as LinkedIn, Google, or another single sign-on provider. By choosing a third-party login, you authorize 18C to receive limited account information from that provider, such as your name, email address, and profile photo, consistent with that provider’s terms and 18C’s Privacy Policy. Such third-party providers may not have the same authentication and security features as the Platform. Candidates assume all risk and responsibility arising from the use of, and access to and from, the Platform enabled through single sign-on.
Creating an account for someone other than yourself is strictly prohibited and a violation of these Terms. Login credentials are confidential, non-transferable, and must not be shared with others.
18C reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false or misleading information, or compromise the security or integrity of the Platform.
HOW TO USE OUR PLATFORM
1. Provide Your Information. Provide information about your professional background, preferences, experiences, and other relevant details by chatting with the Platform’s AI chatbot via voice or text.
2. Opportunity Matching. The information you provide will be used to generate a list of job opportunities for which you may apply.
3. Human Confirmation. A member of 18C’s team will review your application information to ensure alignment with the roles you have applied for before submitting it to the Hiring Companies. If there is alignment, your information will be shared with the Hiring Company. If there is no alignment, you will be notified by 18C.
4. Support During the Hiring Process. 18C will communicate with you and the Hiring Company throughout the Hiring Company’s interview process to keep you informed of updates, request additional information, and maintain communication.
Support does not include individualized strategic or substantive advice or opinions regarding your hiring decisions and negotiation strategies.
You understand and agree that 18C is not your employer, agent, or representative and does not guarantee job placement or hiring outcomes.
USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The Platform uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools to enhance the quality, efficiency, and relevance of job matching and related services. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that AI technologies may be used to analyze information, identify potential matches, and improve overall system performance.
AI tools operate under 18C’s supervision and are subject to human review. No hiring, employment, or eligibility decisions are made solely by automated means.
AI outputs depend on data and algorithmic inputs and may occasionally contain inaccuracies, omissions, or speculative (“hallucinated”) information. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated information or recommendations before relying on them. 18C disclaims all liability for decisions or actions taken in reliance on AI-generated outputs.
18C uses only vetted AI vendors bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Candidate data is not used to train external or public AI models.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any AI-assisted feature at any time to comply with evolving legal, ethical, or technical standards.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
18C may offer services, such as resume review, interview preparation, career strategy, and negotiation strategy. Purchasing these services is optional and subject to the payment and other terms associated with additional services upon purchase. All payments are final and non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise. Any additional services are designed for educational and professional development purposes only and do not constitute legal, financial, or employment advice. 18C does not guarantee that investments in such services will provide any particular results.
USER CONDUCT
As a user of this Platform, you agree not to:
Submit false, misleading, or incomplete information;
Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or infringes on another’s privacy or intellectual-property rights;
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security, functionality, or integrity of the Platform, its systems, or any connected networks;
Use any automated means, data-scraping, or similar tools to access or extract information from the Platform;
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation;
Circumvent the Platform or use it to contact Hiring Companies directly or outside the authorized process without 18C’s consent;
Share, copy, or distribute any nonpublic, confidential, or proprietary information obtained through the Platform; or
Use the Platform in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or 18C terms.
18C reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others, without prior notice. 18C may also cooperate with law enforcement or other authorities where required by law or necessary to protect its rights or the integrity of the Platform.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All materials on the Platform and within the candidate portal or any areas permitted by account registration including, but not limited to, text, graphics, software, AI tools, workflows, data compilations, and brand assets, are owned or licensed by 18C and protected by U.S. and international intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for your personal job search and interview-related purposes. Any other use including copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, publishing, selling, reselling, or reverse-engineering any portion of the Platform or its content is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of 18C’s intellectual-property rights.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by 18C. 18C may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate this section and may pursue any remedies available under law or equity, including injunctive relief and recovery of damages.
User Content. By uploading or sharing documents and information such as your resume, cover letter, and references you authorize 18C to collect, process, store, and share your information with Hiring Companies that have relevant roles, and to communicate with you regarding opportunities and updates during the interview process. We maintain User Content for record-keeping purposes; however, you may request deletion of your information by contacting us via email.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Certain information made available through the Platform may be confidential or proprietary to 18C or its business clients (such as job descriptions, company details, or internal processes). You agree not to disclose, reproduce, or use any such information except as necessary for your personal job search and interview process through the Platform. Any unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential information constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account and legal action where appropriate.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & DISCLAIMERS
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 18C shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, AI-generated content or recommendations, conduct by Hiring Companies, hiring outcomes, data loss or unauthorized access unless such damages are the result of gross negligence or willful misconduct. We provide the Platform “as is” and “as available.” 18C does not guarantee your use of the Platform will result in job interviews, job offers, or other opportunities and outcomes. 18C makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or availability of the Platform or the opportunities listed.
Maximum liability for any claims against 18C will be no greater than the loss suffered by a Candidate or $100, whichever is less.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 18C from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, the information or materials you submit, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your interactions with Hiring Companies. 18C reserves the right, at your expense, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate fully in the defense of such claims.
TERMINATION
18C may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time if we suspect or have proof that you violated these Terms. Upon termination, your access rights immediately end, but sections relating to intellectual property, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution will survive.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
A “Dispute” means any issue arising from or relating to your use of the Platform, excluding any conflicts between you and a Hiring Company. Disputes will be resolved as follows:
Good Faith Negotiation. The parties will first attempt to resolve the Dispute through good faith discussions for at least 30 days. The party raising the Dispute must provide written notice within five (5) days of becoming aware of it and participate in timely, substantive communications during the negotiation period.
Mediation. If negotiations fail, you agree to resolve the matter through mediation. Each party will attend at least one half-day mediation session, share mediation costs equally, and bear its own attorney’s fees. Any resolution reached will be documented in a written settlement agreement.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
18C may modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will include a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the revised Terms. We will notify you by updating the date above and/or by email.
